About the JAI

Jesuit Alumni/ae Ireland (JAI) is a community of past pupils from, and the friends of, Ireland’s Jesuit run colleges across Ireland (sorted by oldest first):

• Clongowes Wood College, S.J.

• Belvedere College, S.J.

• Crescent Comprehensive College, S.J.

• Colaiste Iognaid, S.J. (the Jes)

• Mungret College, S.J. (closed in 1974, but a very active Alumni group)

• Gonzaga College, S.J.

Our growing group emerged during the global Covid restrictions of 2020, and within our first year we created a range of webinars and a fitness-fundraiser for the Jesuit Refugee Services.

The JAI work very closely with our respective Past Pupil Unions and groups and our committee has a range of representatives from each group to keep everyone up to date, including each college administration:

As at July 2021, we have JAI chapters being developed in the following regions, with more on the way:

• United Kingdom (Neil Collins and Eimear McManus)

• Australia and New Zealand (Shane O’Grady and Cian McLoughlin)

• USA and Canada (Gareth Keane and Graham McMahon)

• Middle East (Peter Vaughan and Jonathan Griffin)
