JAI: More people for others

We aim to find and engage ALL the alumni/ae of Jesuit run colleges, including their friends, family and teachers, to create a growing community of ‘More People For Others’.

About the JAI

Jesuit Alumni/ae Ireland (JAI) is a community of past pupils from, and the friends of, Ireland’s Jesuit run colleges across Ireland (sorted by oldest first):

Our growing group emerged during the global Covid restrictions of 2020, and within our first year we created a range of webinars and a fitness-fundraiser for the Jesuit Refugee Services.

The JAI work very closely with our respective Past Pupil Unions and groups and our committee has a range of representatives from each group to keep everyone up to date, including each college administration:

  • Clongowes; Maeliosa Power and Ronan Sharkey

  • Belvedere; Darragh Lynch and Peter Birthistle

  • Crescent; Eva Clarke and Tony White

  • Colaiste Iognaid; Macdara Hosty and Aisling McKeon

  • Mungret; Paul Kerrigan

  • Gonzaga; Will Sparks and Simon Deeny

As at July 2021, we have JAI chapters being developed in the following regions, with more on the way:

  • United Kingdom (Neil Collins and Eimear McManus)

  • Australia and New Zealand (Shane O’Grady and Cian McLoughlin)

  • USA and Canada (Gareth Keane and Graham McMahon)

  • Middle East (Peter Vaughan and Jonathan Griffin)

ACTION: If you know of any Alumni/ae around the world who would like to connect with us, please email them and copy jai500th@gmail.com

Over the course of 2020 we enhanced our interactions and event sharing activities with:

  • WUJA, the World Union of Jesuit Alumni
    https://wuja.org

  • ECJA, the European Confederation of Jesuit Alumni
    https://jesuit-alumni.eu

  • BJUK, the British union of Jesuit Alumni

  • Gonzaga College High School, SJ., in Washington D.C.
